The Copysplitter is simple to use, and doesn't require any HTML, CSS, or PHP scripting experience from you. As long as you know how to upload files to your webserver you can use The Copysplitter to split test your web pages.
The Copysplitter can split pageviews between two copy files evenly (50/50) or you can have it select a random content file for each visitor to the page.
The Copysplitter tracks pageviews and clickthroughs using log files which it will create in it's local directory. Current statistic for your split testing can be viewed using The Copysplitter's Reporting Panel at any time.
You are also able to use your existing analytics and tracking tools to keep track of all traffic passing through The Copysplitter. As another benefit of serving the entire HTML page directly to the user, The Copysplitter allows you to use any HTML, XHTML, CSS, Flash, scripts or other plugins you would normally use on the page you are testing. The only modification required to work with the script is that your outbound links be re-written if you want The Copysplitter to track your clickthroughs.
If you are tracking pageviews and/or clickthroughs using other tools and services, you can disable the statistics functionality of The Copysplitter completely to improve performance and the log files will not be created.
Since The Copysplitter uses complete HTML files for split testing, you can use it to split test sales pages, activity pages, or any other type of web page that you think may benefit from an update.
With the ability to track outbound clicks for a variety of links, The Copysplitter can also provide you with statistics regarding specific reactions to your page's copy. If a particular link or section of the page seems to attract more user interaction and clickthroughs more frequently than other areas you can determine this by using The Copysplitter's redirector to record a unique tracking code even for different links to the same destination page.
